E.g: For a torque setting of 90 Nm, turn the
handle until the zero on the ne adjustment
scale is in the cross between the horizontal
and vertical line at 84 Nm on the scale, and
then turn it until number 6 is opposite the
vertical line on the torque scale.
Fit an extension (8) if required to the head
(7), and set ratchet function direction on the
direction changer (6).
Apply the head or extension socket to the
bolt to be tightened and turn the handle
slowly and evenly until you hear a click,
and the handle gives a little. Do NOT turn
the handle any further. The bolt is now
tightened to the required torque moment.
Do not use the torque wrench for
tightening fork- or universal joints, as
imprecise tightening can result.
Note that the click can be hard to hear at
low torque settings.
Cleaning and maintenance
Wipe with a damp cloth. Never soak
in detergents, as they can destroy the
lubrication!
If unused for some time, operate at a low
torque setting a couple of times to help
spread the internal lubricant.
When not in use, keep at the lowest torque
setting.
