Frequently asked questions 

How much will the locator cost to use? 

Each GPS Locator with Safer Walking App costs £14.99 per month to use, 

regardless of how much you use it. There are no additional data costs for 

greater use. 

 

How can I top up the SIM card? 

You do not need to top up the SIM card yourself as all data costs are 

included in your £14.99 per month charge. 

 

How many people can download the App on each registered account?  

Up to 5 people can download the 

free

 Safer Walking App and log in using 

the registered account details, included in the flat rate of £14.99 per month. 

 

How can I delete my account? 

You can cancel your account at any time by logging in to your account at 

www.saferwalkgingactivation.com and clicking “Cancel My Subscription”.

How long is the location history stored?  

One month. The location history will start to be stored once you have 

registered a Safer Walking account. 

 

How many zones can I set?  

There is no limit to the number of zones that can be set.  

 

How often does the locator update its location? 

The location updates every 4 minutes when moving outdoors with  

GPS signal. 

 

How accurate is the location information? 

The location is accurate to around 10 metres when outside with a GPS 

signal. However, the locator may not be able to accurately locate a person 

in a moving vehicle or inside a building. 

 

What if I have another question?
