Clearing a staple jam
If the handle is not completely pushed down, the staple will most likely become jammed in the stack
of papers. In this event, leave the stack in place, open the magazine, remove the staples and then
close the magazine. Then repeat the stapling operation, ensuring the handle is pushed completely
down. This will cut and release the staple from the stapler, allowing the stack of papers to be removed.
Removing staple trimmings
Duax staples are “cut” during the stapling process. These trimmings fall into a reservoir within the
Duax. This reservoir must be emptied each time a new box of Duax staples are used. Simply remove
the orange cap on the front section of the stapler and empty trimmings into the garbage.
