SECTION 7: REQUIRED SAFE DISTANCES FROM
COMBUSTIBLES
In all sit u ations, the minim u m req u ired safe distances
from com bu sti b les m u st b e maintained. Com bu sti-
b les are materials w hich may catch fire and incl u de
many common items s u ch as w ood, paper, r ubb er,
fa b rics, etc. Com bu sti b le materials s u ch as those
noted, and any other com bu sti b le materials, m u st not
b e placed closer to any b ase or side of the CGTH-
Series heater than the distances noted in the dia-
grams on the follo
w ing page. If yo u ha v e any q u es-
tions a b o u t the req u ired safe distances from
com bu sti b les, or the associated diagrams, please

For o w ner safety, a thermostat tag is s u pplied w ith
the CGTH-Series as a permanent reminder of the
importance of maintaining the req
u ired safe dis-
tances from com bu sti b les. Instr u ctions for installing
the tag are located on Page 36, Section 10.5 . Imme-

or Rapid Engineering LLC if the tag is missing. See
Page 19, Figure 8 for allo w a b le v ent
terminal locations.
It is important to keep the minim u m req u ired safe dis-
tances from com bu sti b les at all times. Clearances
from v ehicles parked b eneath heaters m u st b e main-
tained. The thermostat tag (incl u ded w ith the heater)
m u st b e posted to identify any possi b le v iolation of
the minim u m req u ired safe distances from com bu sti-
b les from the heater in v ehicle areas. Maxim u m
allo w a b le stacking height in storage areas sho u ld b e
identified w ith signs or appropriate markings. See
Page 16, Figure 6 and Figure 7 for the minim u m
req u ired safe distances from com bu sti b les.
Due to hi g h temperature, ensure that the heater
area is kept clear of furniture, draperies, clothin g
or other combustible materials. Children and
adults should be alerted to the hazards of hi
g h
surface temperatures and should stay away to
avoid burns and clothin
g i g nition. Youn g children
should be carefully supervised when they are in
the same room as the heater.
WARNING
Fire Hazard
Keep all flammable objects, liquids and
vapors the minimum required safe distances
to combustibles away from heater.
Some objects will catch fire or explode when
placed close to heater.
Failure to follow these instructions can result
in death, injury or property damage.

Burn Hazard
Keep all persons, especially children, away
from heater.
Do not touch any part of the heater.
Heater is very hot.
Failure to follow these instructions can result
in death, injury or property damage.
