For b est performance, the gas, electrical, thermostat
connections, t ub ing, v enting, s u spensions and
o v erall heater condition sho u ld b e inspected
thoro u ghly.
NOTE: Gas flo w and bu rner ignition are among the
first things that sho u ld b e inspected.
Please see Page 48, Section 11.5 for s u ggested
items to inspect.
11.5 Maintenance Checklist
Installation Code and Annual Inspections:

installation and ser v ice of eq u ipment sold and
s u pplied b y Rapid Engineering LLC and conform to
all req u irements set forth in the RAPID
TM
man u als
and all applica b le go v ernmental a u thorities
pertaining to the installation, ser v ice, operation and
la b eling of the eq u ipment.
To help facilitate optim u m performance and safety,
Rapid Engineering LLC recommends that a q u alified
contractor cond u ct, at a minim u m, ann u al
inspections of yo u r RAPID
TM
eq u ipment and perform
ser v ice w here necessary, u sing only replacement
parts sold and s u pplied b y Rapid Engineering LLC.
The Vicinity of the Heater Do not store or u se flamma b le o b jects, liq u ids or v apors near the heater.
Immediately remo v e these items if they are present.
See Page 5, Section 3 .
Vehicles and Other
Objects Maintain the clearances to com bu sti b les.
Do not hang anything from, or place anything on, the heater.
Make s u re nothing is lodged u nderneath the reflector, in b et w een the t ub es or
in the decorati v e or protecti v e grilles (incl u ded w ith select models).
Immediately remo v e o b jects in v iolation of the clearances to com bu sti b les.

Reflector S u pport reflector w ith reflector hanger and s u pport strap.

Make s u re there is no dirt, sagging, cracking or distortion.
Do not operate if there is sagging, cracking or distortion.
Make s u re reflectors are correctly o v erlapped. See Page 23, Section 6.5.1 .
Clean o u tside s u rface w ith a damp cloth.
Vent Pipe Venting m u st b e intact. Using a flashlight, look for o b str u ctions, cracks on the
pipe, gaps in the sealed areas or corrosion.
The area m u st b e free of dirt and d u st.
Remo v e any car b on deposits or scale u sing a w ire b r u sh.

Outside Air Inlet Inlet m u st b e intact. Look for o b str u ctions, cracks on the pipe, gaps in the
sealed areas or corrosion.
The area m u st b e free of dirt and d u st. Clean and reinstall as req u ired.
Tubes Make s u re there are no cracks.
Make s u re t ub es are connected and s u spended sec u rely.
