ADJUSTMENTS
NOTE: During the ‘backlapping’ operation regular
checks should be made on the setting of the cutting
cylinder to the bottom blade and if necessary slight
adjustments made.
When the cutters have been sharpened satisfactorily
they will cut the paper cleanly along the length of the
bottom blade.
WIPE OFF ALL TRACES OF THE
CARBORUNDUM PASTE.

8.11 HANDLE ADJUSTMENT
The height of the handle can be adjusted two ways
to suit the operator.
Where the tubes are attached to the side frames
(A Fig. 11a) and where the handlebars are attached
to the lower handle tube (A Fig. 11b)
To adjust the height:
1.
Slacken the clamp bolts (A Fig. 8.11b) to
adjust the angle on the handlebars
Retighten the bolts.
2.
For vertical handlebar adjustment remove
the coach bolt from the handlebars, then
replace in appropriate slot, (A Fig. 8.11a)
retighten bolt.
8.12 MARQUIS: SIDE ROLLS
(Fig. 8.12)
To allow long grass to the cut, the centre sections of
the front roll can be removed as follows:
1.
Unscrew the bolts and remove spindle and
rolls.
2.
Insert split pins into the spindle, position
washers and outer rolls.
NOTE: Split pins and washers are supplied with the
machine.
3.
Reassemble.
