Each R&S TS-PSAM module can only be used in the R&S CompactTSVP
and requires a R&S TS-PDC at the assigned rear I/O slot.
3.3.12
R&S TS-PSM1
The Power Switch Module R&S TS-PSM1 is designed for interconnecting or dis-
tributing high voltages or current. Currents/voltages at all switching nodes can be
measured or monitored with the analog bus. These functions are particularly
important when the test component's current demand in both normal and standby
mode has to be measured.
It offers the following key features:
●
8 switchable high-power-channels up to 16 A, 70 V DC, 46 V peak, 33 V
(RMS)
●
Acces from rear I/O section using a high power connector X1
●
Shunt resistors with 0.005
Ω
inlcuded to each high power channel for indirect
current measurements
●
10 additional channels up to 2 A for each ("for sensing purposes")
●
Monitoring of each channel up to 1A using the analogue bus connections
●
3 Instrument lines connected to analogue bus and rear I/O section
Each R&S TS-PSM1 module can be used in R&S CompactTSVP and R&S
PowerTSVP.
If the optional R&S TS-PK04 cable set has been installed in the TSVP chas-
sis, the 16 A high current channels and all 2 A channels of the R&S TS-
PSM1 will be made accessible via the connectors X3 and X4 on the rear of
the chassis. For this purpose the R&S TS-PSM1 module must be installed in
slot 16.
3.3.13
R&S TS-PSM2
The Multiplex/Switch Module R&S TS-PSM2 is designed for switching or distribu-
tion of signals of medium output up to 125 VDC or currents up to 2 ADC. The
analog bus can be used to measure voltages and currents on all circuit nodes.
These functions are especially important if current must be measured for the test
object in normal operation and in addition a measurement must be performed in
Test Modules
