Registration
This section defines settings of the registration procedure.
Timer Based Registration is available with the basic signaling application R&S CMW-
KS800. All other registration types require the advanced signaling option R&S CMW-
KS810.

Timer-based Registration
Timer-based registration causes the mobile station to register at regular intervals. Its
use also allows the system to automatically deregister mobile stations that did not per-
form a successful power-down registration.

The interval is controlled by the base station via the REG_PRD field of the System
Parameters Message or ANSI-41 System Parameters Message. If timer-based regis-
tration shall be performed, this field shall be set to a value in the range 29 to 85 inclu-
sive and the timer value is determined by the following formula:
