Test Data Service
These service types are used for testing the high data rates using the supplemental
channel SCH0. The test data service can be used for the CDMA2000 RX FER tests.
TX Measurements
TX measurements depend on the Reverse Radio Configuration (R-RC) of the MS. In
general O-QPSK measurements require a R-RC 1 or 2, whereas H-PSK measure-
ments require a R-RC 3 or 4.
Service Option 32
Service Option 32
(SO32) allows verification of the physical layer performance Frame
Error Rate (FER) of CDMA2000 physical channels. SO32 meets the requirements
described in standard 3GPP2 C.S0026 Test Data Service Option (TDSO).
At the physical layer the TDSO is configured to generate primary traffic over the for-
ward and reverse traffic channel. The test mode for the TDSO is the byte pattern 0xFF
with a 100% frame activity. By default it creates a traffic channel frame every 20 ms.
TDSO generates Rate 1 frame with a data block.
For details see
chapter 4.2.17.1, "Frame Error Rate (FCH / SCH0) Measurement"
The FCH and SCH can be configured as follows:
●
Radio Configuration FCH
The R&S
CMW sets the radio configuration to use for the Forward and Reverse
Fundamental Channel (F-FCH-RC and R-FCH-RC).

Packet Data Service
This type of service is used to request packet data service through a serving node sup-
porting an internet standard Point-to-Point Protocol (PPP) interface to network layer
protocols as for example required during the CDMA2000 RX RLP measurements.
