1/4” Instrument input (1) - plug your guitar in here. Channel selector (2) - this button toggles thru the three channel options
Clean channel is clean but can be distorted by turning up the gain (3) to get a vintage tube overdrive that is great for blues and classic Rock’n’Roll. The bright switch (4) adds a bit more high end frequency to this channel.
The Bass (5) /Middle (6)/Treble(7) allow tailoring of the tone to suit your taste. Level control sends volume of this channel to output mater volume (20) - You can turn this all the up and use the gain knob (3) as channel
volume to get pristine clean sound.
O.D.1 overdrive channel- Level/Bass/Middle/Treble/Gain are the functions. Preamp gain can be achieved by cranking the Gain (9) knob, but a different flavor of overdrive gain can be attained by cranking the level (13) way
up and using the Gain knob for channel level. Set the Bass (10)/Middle(11)/Treble(12) knobs to taste.
O.D.2 overdrive channel works the same as OD1 but has slightly different gain & tone... It has more gain than anyone really needs, but we put more just to be sure --so you’ll be fine if your playing in a situation that you need
near-zero volume but still want searing distortion.
(RT50/RT50C have only a Clean and OD2 channel)
Preamp gain can be achieved by cranking the Gain (14) knob, but a different flavor of overdrive gain can be attained by cranking the level (18) way up and using the Gain knob for channel level. Set the Bass (15)/Middle(16)/
Treble(17) knobs to taste.
The Reverb knob (19) adds true spring reverb to the signal of the entire amp no matter what channel you are on....
(Turn all the way to the right to go surfing)
The Master Volume (20) controls the output of the entire amp--- This function has a smooth taper and don’t be alarmed setting the master volume near maximum in high volume situations - the amp puts out a solid 50 or 100
watts. Set your individual channel gain and volumes to desired settings and manipulate overall volume with the master -OR-
You can turn Master Volume knob all the way up and use the amp as if no master volume existed by using each channel volume and gain as your total output volume.
Power switch (22) turns the amp on. The switch next to it--the Standby Switch (21) - the standby switch is there for a reason-- always wait 5-10 seconds between turning power switch on/off and standby switch.
ON= Power > wait > Standby
OFF= Standby > wait > Power
Mains fuse (23) varies in value by country voltage. Included power cable inserted here- this is different by regional voltage and distributor.
Footswitch cable input (25) -plug multipin footswitch cable in here.The included Footswitch for the RT100H/RT503 (RT3) has 3 buttons.... One button for each channel
The included Footswitch for the RT50H/RT50C (RT2) has also has 3 buttons.... but the first switches between clean and overdrive, the second turns the reverb on and off and the third switches the effects loop.
The Effects loop is to hook up external effects units- the Send function has a level switch (28) to adjust for pedal or studio style effects units’ input level... 1/4” send (26) to input, 1/4” output (27) to return.
Plug in the speaker cable to the speaker cabinet and speaker output of amplifier
(RT50C is already hooked up to the included Speaker)
