AC Circuit Breaker

When you want to use Load Center 1 from the generator, move slide protector to the position shown in the illustra-

tion on page 4-21. Start the generator as described earlier under the generator controls, and place GENER. MAIN 1
circuit breaker to the “ON” position.
WARNING
Some marinas have been known to “break” shore power ground circuits to prevent electrolysis.
Opening the ground circuit creates a potentially dangerous onboard shock hazard. Ensure that your
shore power cable ground circuit is always continuous.
GENERATOR
Blower Switch
: Flip the switch to the right to operate the bilge blowers. Before attempting to start the generator,

the bilge area must be purged of all fumes. Operate the blowers for at least 4 minutes.
Generator Breaker
: Turn generator breaker to the “ON” position at the DC panel.
Start Switch
: Push the switch up until you hear that the generator has started, and then release the switch.
Stop Switch
: Push the switch up to stop the generator.
SHORE MAIN 1
Be sure that this circuit breaker is turned off before connecting shore power to boat hookup for Load Center 1.
Move the slide protector over the generator main circuit breakers as shown in the illustration above. Place the
SHORE MAIN 1 circuit breaker to the “ON” position. AC power is sent to all AC circuit breakers for Load Center 1:
