Label sticking process
8.2.4 Project label of network cable
The project label of network cable applies to the Ethernet interface cables of a cabinet, chassis,
and card.
The cable label contents of the cabinet, chassis, and card are shown in Table 8-2.

MN-X-Y-Z
MN: Cabinet No.
M: Cabinet row No., ordered by character.
N: Rack column No., ordered by number.
Example: A05 indicates the fifth cabinet in row A.
X-Frame No.
Numbered from bottom top with two numbers, such as 01, 02.
Y-Board/Slot No.
Numbered from top bottom or left right with two numbers, such as
01, 02.
Z-Ethernet port
No.
Sequence of Ethernet port, ordered from top bottom or left right, such
as 01, 02.
MN-Z
MN: Cabinet No.
Example: A03 indicates the third cabinet in row A.
Z: Position No.
Fill in the position number of terminal equipment that can be
identified according to the actual conditions, such as the router-
located cabinet No., frame No., Ethernet port No. For example, A02-
01-10; you need to specify the network management location if
connecting the device to the NMS.
The label content is depended on the actual environment. You can delete the cabinet No. if not
installing the device in the cabinet. For example:
