“Warning”:
Both
voice coils must be connected to the amplifier for correct operation of this subwoofer. Use of this
speaker with one voice coil connected only voids all warranties. Voice coils may be wired in series or
parallel to connect to a single channel amplifier or a mono bridged amplifier.
The power handling of subwoofers at very low frequencies is limited by the mechanical parts of the
system. Subsonic filter cuts the dangerous low frequencies (<25 Hz) and increases the power handling,
dynamic range and lifetime of your subwoofer dramatically. The very low SPL frequency is even
improved!
Application:
Sound Line subwoofers are precision speakers, which have been engineered to produce the highest
quality sub bass-performance in your vehicle.
Rainbow® dealers have software for enclosure-design and volume construction with extensive technical
information for many different applications of your new subwoofer. They also have the knowledge, skills
and tools to build a high-quality enclosure that will maximize the performance of your subwoofer.
In this installation-guide you will find specifications and two recommended enclosure-types for your
speaker (enclosure and ported-type). Both types of enclosure will give you excellent sound quality and
low-frequency extension. The sealed enclosure is a better choice, if space is extremely tight. Otherwise
the ported enclosure will p3 dB output at the same power, but you need the extra-space to work
with.
