Germanium Line Capabilities
Rainbow Profi Line loudspeakers are high-quality car audio systems that can be used with any
commercial amplifier. For optimal sound reproduction in the vehicle we recommend the use of a linear
amplifier with at least 50 Watts of power. The excellent efficiency of the loudspeakers makes possible an
enormous dynamic range, which is fully appreciable even at the lowest performance levels.
Auto-specific tuning and the usage of select parts in the crossovers are characteristics that define our
Profi Line. Thermal protection as well as level adjustment within the high tone range are just as standard
as the fundamental 12 dB or 18 dB coupling of the individual loudspeakers.
Through this arrangement the individual range crossovers can be placed closer to the system being
installed without the danger of tonal influence by magnetic coupling of the energetic low and central tone
ranges.
In order to ensure the system complements your vehicle interior, we offer you the option of specifying
loudspeaker covers to your desired color before installation.
Positioning the Loudspeaker
In your car there are many locations to install Rainbow loudspeakers. However you should pay attention
to the following facts: Woofers need a certain volume for the acoustic reproduction. A rear windshield
deck with a large boot or doors with a large insulating air cushion are ideal. The necessary minimum
volume is also guaranteed if they are installed in locations in the dashboard or the side panels of the rear
package shelf intended for this purpose.
Please check the suitability of the installation places before you start installation. Don't cut any
of the car's structural frame. Pay attention to the mechanism of the windows and door handles.
If installed in the rear, be sure that the filler neck and the petrol tank are not damaged. You must
always pay attention to cables and wires that are run hidden in your car. Don't cut or damage
them. The loudspeaker grilles can help you to find a suitable installation place by using them as
templates on the doors or the rear windshield deck. If you have experience with electrical and
mechanical procedures, you can install Rainbow loudspeakers on your own.
For acoustic reasons the components should be arranged as close together as possible. If the distance
between tweeter and woofer is too large, an acoustic hole is the result which leads to a bad sound
reproduction.
