PREPARATION
INSTALLING THE BATTERY
Your TRC-510 transceiver uses a standard 9-volt bat-
tery. For the longest life, we recommend an alkaline
battery such as Radio Shack Cat. No. 23-553.
Follow these steps to install or replace the battery.

1. Remove the battery compartment cover by slid-
ing it in the direction of the arrow.
2. If necessary, remove the old battery and dispose
of it properly.
3. Snap a fresh 9-volt battery onto the wired termi-
nals and place the battery in the battery compart-
ment.
Caution: Use only a fresh battery of the required
size and type.
