Preparation
1. Slide the battery compartment cover in the direc-
tion of the arrow to remove it.
2. Place the batteries in the compartment (and on
top of the attached ribbon), as indicated by the
polarity symbols (+ and –) marked inside.
3. Replace the cover.
When the sound becomes distorted or weak, or the
cassette player stops operating properly, replace the
batteries.
Warning: Dispose of old batteries promptly and prop-
erly. Do not burn or bury them.
Caution: If you do not plan to use the cassette player
with batteries for a week or more, remove the batter-
ies. Batteries can leak chemicals that can destroy
electronic parts.
USING AC OR DC POWER
To power the recorder from an AC outlet or your vehi-
cle’s battery power, you need an AC or DC adapter
and a size H Adaptaplug
(neither supplied, available
at your local RadioShack store).
