Notes:
• As with two-way radio reception, weather channel reception depends on how close you
are to a transmitter and whether you are indoors or outdoors. Broadcasts transmitted on
weather frequencies might contain static or noise.
• In some isolated areas, it might not be possible to receive weather channel transmissions.
Setting Weather Alert
If you turn on weather alert then set the radio to its two-way mode,

appears. Whenever
NOAA or Environment Canada transmit an emergency weather broadcast on the selected
weather channel, your radio alerts you using the alert mode you selected –

brate) – then switches to the selected weather channel.
Note: If your radio is in weather mode, you receive a weather alert only on the selected chan-
nel.
