Remote Operation
• set the system to answer or not answer calls
• listen to your messages
• record a new outgoing message
• record a memo
• erase messages
You cannot remotely operate the system using its
handset or another telephone on the same line.

The two-digit remote operation security code
prevents unauthorized remote access to your
messages. The code is preset to 80. You can set
the code to any number from 00 to 99:
1. Press
MENU
twice. The system announces
“Security code,” followed by the currently set
code. The code appears.
2. Repeatedly press or hold down

change the number.
3. Press
SET/RING
to store the setting. The
system announces the newly set code.
4. Press
PLAY/STOP
to exit.
To check your code at any time, press
MENU
twice.
The code appears and the system announces it.

While in remote operation, the system stops all
answering functions and

functions resume when the system is no longer in
remote operation, if you have not turned the system
off. The remote operation stops when someone
picks up the handset or any phone on the same
phone line.
