USING TONE SERVICES
ON A PULSE LINE
Some special services require tone
signals (such as bank-by-phone). If
you have pulse dialing, you can still
use these special tone services.
Dial the service’s main number.
When the service answers, press

TONE
. The phone automatically
inserts a 2-second pause, then any
additional numbers you dial are sent
as tone signals.
The phone’s dial mode resets to
pulse when you make or receive a
call.
MOVING OUT OF
RANGE
If you have the handset out of the
base's range while a call is in
progress, the handset beeps and

appears. Return to the
base’s range within 15 seconds, then
resume your conversation.
If you are out of range for over 15
seconds, the call is automatically put
on hold. Return to within the range, or
the call disconnects and

PAGING
To send a page from the base to the
handset or to locate the handset
when the phone is not in use, press
PAGE
on the base. All the handsets
beep for about 1 minute. To stop the
page, press
END
or any number key
on the handset, or press
PAGE
on the
base again.
All the handsets ring. To locate a
specific handset, stop the page at
other handset(s) so only the handset
you are looking for rings.
PUTTING A CALL ON
HOLD
Press
HOLD/FORMAT
to put a call on
hold. The IN USE indicator on the
base flashes and

B_d[Ed>ebZ

B_d[Ed>ebZ
appears.
While the call is on hold, you can
temporarily place the handset on the
base without disconnecting the
current call.
To release a line from hold and
continue your conversation, press
TALK
on any handset.
Hold Reminder
When you put a call on hold longer
than the time set for reminder, the
phone sounds an alert tone. You can
select the time period for the reminder
to sound.
