2. Connect the line from the antenna
or cable outlet to the input termi-
nal of an optional 75-ohm splitter
(available at your local
RadioShack store).
3. Connect the splitter’s output termi-
nals to the amplifier’s

terminal and the input terminal of
the cable box.
4. Connect the amplifier’s

terminal to the 75-ohm VHF
terminal on the first TV or VCR.
Connect the cable box’s output
terminal to the 75-ohm VHF termi-
nal on the second TV or VCR.
For a TV with only 300-ohm VHF
terminals, use a 75-to-300 trans-
former (such as RadioShack Cat.
No. 15-1230).
5. Plug the amplifier’s power cord
into a standard AC outlet.
USING THE GAIN
CONTROL
Use the
GAIN
control to help prevent
signal overload. Common signs of sig-
nal overload are horizontal dark and
light bands or double images on the
screen.
At fully clockwise (+), the gain is 20
dB. This amplifies the signal by a fac-
tor of 100. To reduce the gain, turn the
control counterclockwise (toward –).
At fully counterclockwise, the gain is
about 10 dB.
