1. Turn 

VOLUME

 counterclockwise until it clicks to turn on the

power. 

2. Hold down 

WEATHER

 or 

CLOCK

 while inserting the barrel plug

into the 

DC 6V

 jack. The power indicator flashes briefly. When

it lights steadily, release 

WEATHER

 or 

CLOCK

.

Note:  The time announcement sounds when you press

CLOCK

. This function works whether the weather broadcast

and 

VOLUME

 are on or off. 

3. Use a straightened paper clip to press 

SET

 or 

SCROLL

 to

sound the alert tone. Press 

SET

 or 

SCROLL

 again to stop it.

SETTING THE CLOCK

If the radio receives an alert signal while you are setting the clock,
the radio exits the clock setup mode without updating the time.

Setting the Hour

1. With 

VOLUME

 on or off, connect the radio to power and hold

down 

SET

 with a straightened paper clip for 2 seconds to

enter clock setup mode. 

2. Using a straightened paper clip, hold down 

SCROLL

 to auto-

matically advance the hour. The radio announces each hour. 

3. When you hear the correct hour, release 

SCROLL

 and press

SET

 once to confirm the entry and enter the minute setting

mode.
