1.1.10. RECIRCULATION MODE
The tankless water heaters has a built in recirculation
system with a circulating pump which is designed to
provide a controlled flow rate of domestic hot water
thus reducing wait times and water waste.
To activate the recirculation mode, please proceed as
follows:
› Make sure the value of parameter P02 is set for
the WATER HEATER, see chapters ‘PARAMETERS
TABLE’ and ‘ACCESSING AND PROGRAMMING
THE PARAMETERS’;
› Turn the three-way-valve to the “recirculation”
position, as shown in figure 10.
› Activate the recirculation mode by simultaneously
pressing the ‘
’ and ‘
’ buttons of the control
panel (figure 11). The activation of the recirculation
mode is displayed on the control panel as indicated
by the ‘rc’ symbol.
The recirculation setpoint is automatically set
to 44.6 °F (7 °C) lower than the setpoint of DHW
user’s settings.
To detect the return temperature, the system
activates the pump for 20 seconds every 10 minutes.
If the temperature detected, by the recirculation
sensor, is lower than required, the pump activates
and the unit operates at the minimum fire rating.
When the required temperature is achieved, the unit
shuts-off and the pump runs for 40 seconds (this
latter value can be adjusted by means of parameter
P04). The highest possible temperature of the hot
water, during the recirculation mode, is of 127 °F (53
°C).
