DL227 SERIES REV B – User Manual

Description:

The DL227 Rev B converter is an IEEE 802.3ab compliant Gigabit Ethernet 1000Base-T
unshielded twisted pair (UTP) to 1000Base-Sx or 1000Base-Lx fiber converter.

It features Auto-Negotiation which allows it to auto-adapt to the full/half duplex and flow
control services as well as data rate (10/100/1000M) supported by the device connected
to its 1000Base-TX port.

The 1000Base-TX port uses a modular EIA/TIA 568 RJ45 connector and supports
category 5 or higher wiring with distances of up to 100m. (328ft.).  Automatic polarity
detection and correction assists in network installation and maintenance.

The DL227 Rev B operates in full-duplex. This feature maximizes the throughput when
connecting to height bandwidth full-duplex devices such as servers or switches.
