Brief instructions for installation and initial commissioning
These instructions describe the simplest way to configure the RolloTube DuoFern tubular motor. Please ensure that you refer to the full operating
instructions for the safety instructions, additional configuration options, connection options and information about resetting the system.
CAUTION!
Risk of crushing injuries due to rotating shaft!
There is a risk of crushing injuries to the hands when working with the roller shutter box open.

never reach into the area of the rotating union when the motor is running.
Important
The roller shutter curtain must be equipped with a stopper or end rail in order to
undertake the subsequent automatic end point setting (Fig. 1).
In addition, the catch must be mounted so it can free-wheel. Sufficient free-
wheeling is given if the catch can be easily turned back and forth (supplied state
Fig. 2).

1. Press the button on the motor head until the set button
LED flashes red and the motor advances briefly. You
now have 60 seconds to activate login mode from
one
of the following transmitters.
1. Open the menu of the central operating unit by
pressing the
M button
.
2. Select system settings
and confirm with
OK
.
Select menu item 2-1 connect / disconnect
3. The number of assigned devices is displayed.
4. Now press the
Up key
, in order to activate login
mode on your manual central operating unit.
5. Subsequently select the group and member number
and confirm in each case with
OK
until
assigned
appears.
6. Exit the menu by pressing the
M button
.

The motor acknowledges successful assignment by starting up briefly and the set button LED turns green.
Now move the motor upwards using the previously assigned transmitter (de-
pending on the installation, it may be necessary to press the up or down button).
The end point setting and the assignment for the direction of rotation is carried
out automatically (please refer to the figure for the program sequence).
IMPORTANT! Please do not press any other buttons during the
configuration process!
The motor is now
fully configured and is
ready for operation.

IMPORTANT!
1. First move the roller shutter upwards when automatically
adjusting the end points.
2. The roller shutter should remain at the upper end point
following automatic adjustment.
The end points cannot be correctly adjusted if the two condi
-
tions are not met. In this case, reset the tubular motor to its
factory settings and repeat the process.
