In certain circumstances it’s possible that your Wireless Duress System may not
operate as intended due to factors beyond the control of RAA and the user. These

Introduction
The RAA Wireless Duress System provides you and your staff with a discrete duress
response at the touch of a button.
Connected to our Adelaide based A1 Monitoring Emergency Response Centre (MERC)
via the Telstra 3G mobile network, our team of professional consultants are here to
action your response plan 24/7, every day.
Our system is designed with the reality of modern business in mind.
Its silent operation means that police, or other nominated emergency contacts and
services, are called for help without inflaming a situation. Its wireless operation gives
you the freedom to add up to seven Duress Button zones and your system can be
relocated any time by one of our technicians if your business changes.
The Wireless Duress System is ideal for any public facing organisation where there is
the potential for difficult conversations, or where your staff are vulnerable in close and
private scenarios on-site.

Your Duress Button
Each Wireless Duress System can connect up to seven duress buttons (or monitored
wireless smoke detectors) with our monitoring centre.
Duress Buttons are installed by a licenced RAA security technician in a location that is
in reach during a duress event and in range of the system base.
Requesting Help (Activating your duress)
Press and hold the ‘help’ button on the system base, or the duress button, for at least
two secons.
If a help or duress button is pressed the ‘help’ button will illuminate on the system
base. In approximately 30 seconds the system base will display ‘d1’ to confirm that the
RAA Monitoring Centre has received your call for help.
