Should a thicker target from standard (0.3mm) be
fitted a spacer ring should be employed to
maintain the correct spacing between the target
clamping ring and the dark space shield.
Two such rings are supplied in the accessory kit
and are 1.5mm thick.
Either one or both may be fitted to maintain a
clearance of 1.5mm between the target clamping
ring and the inside adjacent face or the dark space
shield.
When fitting the spacer rings to a Q300TT or TD the
same procedure as above may be followed except, of
course, there are three times as many parts.
Note!
Earlier units were supplied with either M3 x 6
screws or M3 x 8 screws. These are too short and
should be replaced with M3 x 10 screws. (Supplied in
the accessory packs of later models).
Current units (2011) are fitted with M3 x 12
screws which are suitable for all normal target
thicknesses with or without spacing rings.
