5. ELECTRICAL CONNECTIONS

REMEMBER

-Turn off the power!

NOTE:

The fan comes with 80 in. lead

wires for use with an extended ball
/downrod assembly. If using the 4 in. or 6
in. ball/downrod assembly provided, you
can cut the lead wires to your desired
length (no shorter than 12 in.).

Use the wire nuts supplied with your fan
when making connections.  Secure the
connectors with electrical tape and make
sure there are no loose connections or wire
strands.

1.   Motor to capacitor (on the hanging
bracket) electrical connections:

(Fig. 11)

● Connect the grey wire from the fan

to the grey wire from the capacitor.

● Connect the pink wire from the fan

to the pink wire  from the capacitor.

● Connect the red wire from the fan to

the red wire from the capacitor.

● Connect the yellow wire from the

fan to the yellow wire from the
capacitor.

2.   Capacitor (on the hanging bracket)
to house supply wires electrical
connections:

● Connect the white wire from the

capacitor to the white wire from the
house supply wire.

● Connect the black wire from the

capacitor to the black wire from the
house supply wire.

● Connect the green wires from the

fan and hanging bracket to the
household ground wire.

3.  Inside the ceiling junction box be sure
to spread the wires apart so that the black
connection is on one side of the outlet box
and the white/white and green/copper
connections are on the other side.

4.    Connect the wiring from the wall
switch receptacle to wall control unit.

● Remove the existing wall plate and

switch from the wall junction box

● Connect the Black wall wire running

to the fan to the Black wire (labeled
“To fan”) from the wall control.

● Connect the other Black house

supply wire in wall to the Black wire
(labeled “TO POWER SUPPLY”) to
the remaining Black wire from the
wall control (labeled “A/C supply
source).

5.   If the junction box has a ground wire
(green or bare copper), connect the wall
control's ground wire to it. Otherwise,
connect the wall control ground wire
directly to one of the screws from the
outlet box.

6.   Carefully tuck the connected wires
inside the junction box. Secure the wall
control with the two screws provided.
Attach the face plate over the wall control
with the two screws provided.

Use

ONLY

 wall controls approved by

Quorum. Use of unapproved wall
controls will cause unacceptable
humming noise, and avoids the fan
warranty.

Hook up in "series only" do

not

 connect

the hot and neutral wires of electric
circuit to the wall control - damage to
the wall control and possible fire could
occur.
