Radio add‑on module with remote antenna
The standard version of the Radio add-on module
has an integrated radio antenna.
Under special conditions (e.g. cable cabinet), a
Radio add-on module is used with a remote antenna (cable
length approx. 1 metre, antenna length approx. 20 cm).

IIf the distribution box door is made of plastic, the anten-
na is fixed to the inside of the door using hot glue.

In the case of metal doors, the antenna must be routed
to the outside at the side and fixed to the masonry.
•
In the case of full-metal distribution boxes on concrete
walls, the antenna is routed to the outside through a
bore hole in the switch cabinet.
We recommend mounting the antenna vertically at a
distance of at least 10 cm from other metal parts and in
a separate cable channel for protection.
To avoid reflections, the antenna must be mounted
directly on the wall when the box is located on a con-
crete wall.
No metal fasteners may be used. Ideally, hot-glue
should be used to fix the cable channel in place.
During mounting make sure that the minimum bending
radius of 35 mm is observed.
