Printer Maintenance
Checking the Ink Status
The ink status is indicated by the ink LEDs on the front of the printer.
Ink Tank End-of-Life Sequence
When an ink tank is nearly empty, a periodic sequence will be performed by the printer
to use up all remaining ink in the cartridge. This sequence requires 20 seconds to
complete, and will occur approximately every 17 printed labels depending on coverage.
As a result of this sequence, printing will be stopped and label media will be retracted
before printing resumes. The software will report “cleaning”, but the remaining ink is
being used to print labels. The sequence will be repeated as necessary until all
remaining usable ink in the cartridge is consumed.
Indication by Ink LED
Status
Lit

Blinking
• The ink tank has low ink (below 10%).
(It is recommended to have a new ink
tank ready.)
Off
• The ink tank has sufficient ink.
