Pitching:

 How to erect your awning.

•  Guideline :

This instruction is a guideline on how to erect your awning. With time and experience you may find your own way to erect your awning, but

whatever way you erect your awning, you should always ensure that the fabric is tight, use all pegging points and guy lines and you have enough water run off
to ensure no issues occur during use.

•  Step 1 : Preparation

First remove the awning from the bag and separate the awning from the pole(s) and peg(s). Place the awning on the floor next to your vehicle, ensuring that it
is not twisted and caught up in the guy lines as this can make it more difficult to pitch the awning.

•  Step 2 : Connect the tunnel

The first step is to connect the tunnel to your vehicle. There are different methods of connecting the tunnel to your vehicle, all of which are explained
previously. Once you have connected the tunnel to your vehicle you can then continue with pitching your awning.

•  Step 3 : The quick fit frame

Next put together the fibreglass part of the frame and slide this though the sleeve in the awning (as shown on the image overleaf).
Then put the two adjustable legs on each end of the fibreglass part and adjust them so they extend down and over the pin located at the bottom of the canvas
(as shown overleaf). You may at this point want to temporarily peg one of the guy lines to hold the frame away from your vehicle whilst you peg the awning.

•  Step 4 : Adjust the tunnel

Once the tunnel is connected and the awning is up you will need to adjust the tunnel. How you do this and how much adjustment is needed will depend upon
the height of your vehicle. Instructions on how to adjust the tunnel are shown previously.

•  Step 5 : Pegging

Before you start pegging you should ensure that all doors and panels are zipped shut and that the pegging strap is in place between the two pins as this
ensures the awning is in the correct shape and position before pegging, otherwise you may peg the awning incorrectly.
Start by pegging the rear corners first (as shown in image overleaf). These are pegged just underneath the vehicle. This then pulls the draft pad against the
vehicle.
Then move to the front corners, pulling the awning tight as you go around. Repeat this for all of the pegging points around the awning.
Once all the pegging points have been done, you should then peg the guy lines. Always peg the guy lines even in good weather as the weather can change at
any time and failure to peg all points and the guy lines may lead to the awning failing.
