5.1.3.1. Reference Circuit Design for GNSS Passive Antenna
GNSS antenna interface supports passive ceramic antennas and other types of passive antennas. A
reference circuit design is given below.

1. Tracking sensitivity: the minimum GNSS signal power at which the module can maintain lock (keep
positioning for at least 3 minutes continuously).
2. Reacquisition sensitivity: the minimum GNSS signal power required for the module to maintain lock
within 3 minutes after loss of lock.
3. Acquisition sensitivity: the minimum GNSS signal power at which the module can fix position
successfully within 3 minutes after executing cold start command.
When the GNSS passive antenna is placed far away from the module (that is, the antenna trace is long)
and the external loss is higher than 2 dB, it is recommended to add an external LNA circuit and place
the LNA close to the antenna for better GNSS receiving performance.
