The Test Utilities selections, accessed via the Advanced Menu, as shown in Figure 256, provide access to the

4.5.3.9.1 Noise Generator
The Noise Generator selection, shown in Figure 257, optionally sums AWGN (Additive White Gaussian Noise) with
the received signal to achieve the desired E

. Since the bit error rate of an ideally modulated signal at any given

is known and should be readily reproducible, the Noise Generator may be used to verify transmitter or
receiver RF integrity. Two parameters are available: Test Noise and Noise Level.
