4 Software Overview
HyperTrack™ operating software , is based on the integration of two (2) separate hardware boxes. The
HyperTrack™
Antenna Control Unit (HTAC) includes factory installed firmware and a Windows based, client
computer (PC) running the Windows 10 Pro operating system. The HTAC operates as the server in the system
architecture, while the Windows PC, provides the client software (GUI), which communicates with the HTAC via
an Ethernet link. The HTAC server, as well as the local pedestal feed control box assembly, has separate firmware
installed for command and control, and for interfacing with the HTAC and the Telemetry Tracking System.
The Windows 10 Pro system About page, shown in Figure 4, o
utlines the HyperTrack™ PC hardware supplied with
the Windows client PC. Note, the installed RAM was upgraded to 32 GB in all client computers.

The HTAC is the assembly which maintains the direct Ethernet connection to the antenna system, as well as the
client PC and system receivers. The HTAC is provided with a unique IP address, which secures the LAN
connections to all networked devices. The HTAC IP address is set via the small front panel touchscreen interface
window, as shown in Figure 5. The front panel touchscreen provides the user with a direct interface to the HTAC.
The HTAC operating firmware is factory preinstalled, however, it can be updated by accessing the Firmware Update
Tab, (select the HELP icon, from the upper tool bar in the Standard View GUI).
