Quantum Miniature LED Series - Adjustable LED Display Spotlight
Installation:
1.
Each luminaire is supplied with Red (+) & Black (-) tails for connection to a suitably prepared power supply.
2.
Terminal block not included, installation may require advice from a qualified person. Terminal blocks must conform to EN 60998-2-1 or EN 60998-2-2:

Conductor Size: 0.5 – 2.5mm

Rated Voltage: >48V
•
Strip Length: 6mm
3.
Use only parts that belong to the product otherwise the installation might not be sufficiently safe.
4.
Switch off the mains supply or disconnect the tails before carrying out any works.
5.
Use only IEC approved wire for input/output connections. Minimum size 18 AWG (0.75mm
2
)
6.
If the cable becomes damaged or detached it should only be replaced by the manufacturer or appointed service agent.
7.
The life of LEDs is significantly reduced when operated at high temperatures. Display Lighting strongly recommends that Quantum LED luminaires are only
installed into display furniture that is well ventilated. LED products operated in unventilated furniture will not be covered by standard or extended warranty.
Notice to the Installer:
If you do not install the complete system with power supply you are considered a “manufacturer” by the low voltage directive, in this
case you are required to ensure the conformity of the whole system.
Operation:
As part of ongoing product improvement Display Lighting reserves the right to change the specifications, design and technical details of luminaires without prior
notice. Do not copy or reproduce without the express permission of Display Lighting Ltd.
Use as directed - the products serve exclusively lighting purposes and must:
1.
only be used in dry conditions, i.e. not in damp or dirt-endangered rooms or in areas of high humidity.
2.
not be exposed to strong mechanical loads or to strong contamination.
3.
only be installed and operated if the condition of the product has been inspected and not found to be dirty or moistened through storage.
4.
only be installed by a qualified electrician who is familiar with the valid directives and wired in accordance the wiring diagram overleaf and the power sup-
ply.
5.
only be operated using a suitable LED Power Supply supplied exclusively by Display Lighting Ltd.
6.
be disconnected from the power before performing any cleaning or maintenance and carrying out any works on the product or its components.
7.
only be operated if the product is working correctly, switch the product off immediately if a fault is detected i.e. accidental damage occurs, overheating is
apparent or the product operates intermittently. To avoid failure or risk make sure the product is only operated in applications with free air circulation. Do
not hang or fasten anything to or on the product especially decorations or other electrically conductive products.
Fixing Instructions (
Ensure that the products are mounted on a stable, even and fixed background.)
Rear Fix
(RF)
1.
Remove M10 Nut & Washer from the all-thread tube.
2.
Determine the place to be installed, mark the hole and drill an 11mm hole.
3.
Pass the red and black tails through the hole and push the threaded tube down until the base sits flush with the mounting
surface.
4.
Thread the M10 washer and nut over the tails and secure the base in position.
5.
Connect the positive and negative wires to a suitably prepared 12V Power Supply in accordance with the diagram shown
overleaf.
Front Fix
(FF)
1.
Determine the place to be installed, mark the hole and drill a 7mm hole.
2.
Unscrew the hidden fixing bezel from the base and secure over the centre of the hole using screws suitable for the fixing
surface.
3.
Remove the base from the tube by unscrewing the M4 grub screw and screw over the fixing bezel.
4.
Pass the positive and negative wires through the centre of the base, bezel and drilled hole.
5.
Push the tube into the base and secure in place by tightening the M4 grub screw until tight.
6.
Connect the positive and negative wires to a suitably prepared 12V Power Supply in accordance with the diagram shown
overleaf.
Ceiling Plate
(CP)
1.
Remove the mounting bracket from the ceiling plate by removing the screws.
2.
Determine the place of installation and mark the holes to be drilled.
3.
Fasten the mounting bracket onto the mounting surface using screws suitable for the fixing surface.
4.
Connect the positive and negative tails to a suitably prepared 12V Power Supply in accordance with the diagram shown
overleaf.
5.
Fix the ceiling plate to the mounting bracket using the screws.
Surface Fixing
(SF)
1.
Determine the place to be installed, mark the hole and drill a 14mm hole.
2.
Pass the red & black tails through the centre of the surface fix plate and drilled hole.
3.
Fix the surface fix plate in the centre of the pre-drilled hole using screws suitable for the fixing surface (not supplied).
4.
Connect the positive and negative tails to a suitably prepared 12V Power Supply in accordance with the diagram shown
overleaf.
Warranty:
12 Months extended to 36 Months upon completion and return of “LED Products Extended Warranty Form” available from the Display Lighting website (see
customer forms).
The integral Light Emitting Diodes (LEDs) in Quantum LED luminaires have a life expectancy in excess of 30’000 hours. Towards the end of their life the LEDs may
begin to appear dimmer, at this point the luminaire must be replaced by the manufacturer or appointed service agent.
