Setting the Fibre
Channel Loop ID

To configure the Fibre Channel loop ID:
1
Access the
Bridge Administration
page.
In the Navigation frame, under
Fibre Channel Management
,
click
Bridge Administration
.

Under
Set Fibre Channel Loop ID
, select a bridge from the
Bridge
pull-down list.

Enter the desired
Loop ID
for the selected bridge.

Click
Apply
.

Results
page appears indicating the loop ID was configured.

To configure a Route Map:

Access the
Bridge Administration
page.
Note:
Reboot the FC420 bridge to utilize the new
connection mode (see
Note:
Enter a number between 0 - 125 for hard addressing
to the Fibre port. To disable hard addressing and use
soft addressing to the Fibre port, enter 255.
Note:
Reboot the FC420 bridge to utilize the new loop ID.
Note:
You can only map a device to a Fibre port (LUN) location
that is offline.
