Configuring NFS and CIFS
Clients
The following information should be used to configure NAS clients for
correct operation and best performance:
•
•
Configuring Windows CIFS Clients
Configuring Linux NFS Clients
Below are examples of NFS client mount options for connecting to a
Lattus A10 system.
Note that in this example the clients are mounting the exported
directory
/stornext/snfs1/NFSshare01
. If a different directory is to be
mounted, that path should be reflected in the mount options:
• Here is an example /etc/fstab entry for a Linux NFS client that
includes the “sync” mount option:
[Your Lattus A10 hostname or IP Address]:/stornext/
snfs1/NFSshare01 /nfs/stornext/snfs1/NFSshare01 nfs
tcp,vers=3, wsize=1048576,rsize=1048576,sync 0 0
