Replacing an Expansion
Card in Riser 2 or 3
This section describes how to remove and replace an expansion card in
expansion card riser 2 or riser 3. The following cards are located in riser
):
• Expansion Card Riser 2
•
Slot 4 (top)
- No card
•
Slot 5 (bottom)
- Quad port 6 Gb SAS card (LSI 9201-16E)
• Expansion Card Riser 3
•
Slot 6 (top)
- Quad port 6 Gb SAS card (LSI 9201-16E)
•
Slot 7 (bottom)
- Quad port 8 Gb Fibre Channel card (Qlogic
QLE2564)
Caution:
Use appropriate ESD precautions, including the use of a
grounding strap, when performing this procedure.
Removing and replacing an expansion card in expansion card riser 2 or
riser 3 includes the following steps:

Removing an Expansion Card from Riser 2 or 3

Installing an Expansion Card in Riser 2 or 3

To remove a failed expansion card from riser 2 or 3:
