Replacing Node Power Supplies

• The rebuild process takes approximately 3 hours (normal system
load).
• You can continue to use the DXi6902 normally while the drive
rebuilds. System performance may be reduced during the
rebuilding process.
4 If necessary, replace the front bezel on the Node.
5 In the remote management console, delete any administrative alerts
and close any service tickets.
Replacing Node Power Supplies
This section describes how to remove and replace power supplies in the
DXi6902 Node and contains the following sections:
• Obtaining a Replacement Node Power Supply
• Replacing a Node Power Supply
Note: DXi6902 uses redundant, hot-swappable power supplies. You
do not need to shut down the system to remove and replace a
power supply.
Caution: The Node requires one power supply for normal operation.
Remove and replace only one power supply at a time if the
system is powered on.
Obtaining a
Replacement Node
Power Supply
Before beginning the replacement procedure, make sure that you have
the required replacement kit. The appropriate replacement power
supply will be provided by Quantum Customer Support (see Figure 48 ).
You will need the following items to perform this procedure:
• Replacement power supply kit provided by Quantum Customer
Support.
• ESD grounding wrist strap (included in the replacement kit)
