Replacing the Integrated Storage Controller Battery
This section describes how to remove and replace the integrated storage controller battery in the DXi6900
G2 Node.
Caution:
Use appropriate ESD precautions, including the use of a grounding strap, when performing
this procedure.

Identifying a Failed Integrated Storage Controller Battery
The integrated storage controller (Dell PERC H730) includes a battery that protects the RAID controller
during power failures. The battery allows the RAID controller to store any cached data until power can be
restored.
To identify a failed integrated storage controller battery:
1. Access the remote management console (see
).
2. Navigate to the
Status > Hardware > Details > Storage Arrays
page.
3. Under
Storage Arrays
