To clean a tape drive:

Access the
Maintenance
screen (see

Press
Clean
.
The GUI displays the
Select Cleaning Cartridge
screen (see
). A flashing arrow indicates the currently selected
source element.

If the library is an ATL M1500 in a multiple library stack or an
ATL M2500, press the
Level
button to select the level where the
cleaning cartridge is located.

Press the
Up
and
Down
buttons to select the source element that
contains the cleaning cartridge.

When the flashing arrow is next to the source element that
contains the cleaning cartridge, press
Select
.
The GUI displays the
Select Tape Drive
screen (see
). A
flashing arrow indicates the currently selected drive.
