ISSUES
•
Double clicking on the up-arrow-folder can take a long time to refresh the
directory list
Note:
When navigating tapes with a large number of files performance
may be slow - edit the path in the type-in box above the directory
for faster performance
•
Setting the write-protect switch before disconnecting or ejecting a tape will
prevent changes to the directory from getting updated on tape
Note:
Never set the write-protect switch on a tape until it has been
ejected from the drive
•
To assure data integrity under all archiving situations, the FTP client calculates
the tape space remaining assuming no compression on file sizes
•
When using Firefox browsers under MacOSX, java preferences must be set to
J2SE 5.0 or 1.4.2, the applet will not load when Java SE 6 is selected. This does
not apply when using Safari browsers.
•
When using Firefox 2.0 browsers, the transfer list redraw may be incorrect.
Users should update to Firefox 3.0.
•
Transfer size estimations on SDLT600A systems may be in error – users are
advised to manually maintain less than 280GB per tape. Overfilling a tape may
result in a “broken pipe” error but all files written to tape will be intact.
•
When attempting to format a blank or data tape, the message “Unable to refresh
list” is displayed. Click “OK” to continue.
