Updating Firmware via the SD
Card
This section describes how to update the CubiScan 125’s
firmware using the SD card.
Items Needed
•
Phillips screwdriver
•
CS125.bin File
Complete the following steps to update the firmware
with the SD card.
1. Power the CubiScan 125 off.
2. Carefully remove the glass platform and place it in a
safe location.
3. Using the Phillips screwdriver, remove the 10 screws
holding the controller box lid in place. Refer to
4. Remove the controller box lid.
5. To allow the firmware to be updated, you will need to
move a jumper. Move the jumper indicated in
from the Protected mode to the Write
mode.
6. Remove the SD card indicated in
7. Insert the SD card into your PC and copy the
provided CS125.bin onto the SD card. This new file
will replace any previous existing versions of the
CS125.bin file.

Updating the Firmware
This section describes the procedures used to update the firmware for the CubiScan 125. There
are two common methods used, updating the firmware via the SD card or a serial connection.
You should use the serial connection method when the firmware or touchscreen is
malfunctioning. Both methods are described below.
