Removing
the
Rails
Review
thoroughly
the
documentation
that
is
included
with
the
rack
cabinet
for
safety
and
cabling
instructions.
Before
installing
the
rails
in
the
rack
cabinet,
review
the
following
guidelines:
!
CAUTION!
THE
SERVER
MUST
NOT
BE
REMOVED
FROM
ITS
SETUP
IN
THE
RACK
FOR
MORE
THAN
TEN
MINUTES
TO
MAINTAIN
PROPER
SYSTEM
COOLING.
Prerequisite:
♦
Power
down
the
server.
♦
Disconnect
all
cables
and
peripherals
from
the
server.
1. Push and hold both retainers outwards to disengage the latches. Then pull the
server
out
of
the
rack
cabinet.
Note:
Adhere
to
safe
lifting
practices
when
moving
the
server
in
and
out
of
the
cabinet.
