First charge of the handset to fully charged will take approximately 8
hours.

Dry cells (i.e. non-rechargeable batteries) may be used in the
transmitter.
Charging the handset battery:
A.
Charge the handset battery with home charger:
1.
Place 8 AA batteries in the compartment on the back of the remote control and
close the lid.
2.
Plug the charger into the wall socket and connect the other end to the charging
socket of your transmitter. A red light will light up. If the light on the charger is
green, the battery is fully charged.
B. Charge the handset battery with the solar panel charger:
1.
Place 8 AA batteries in the compartment on the back of the remote control and
close the lid.
2.
Connect the plug from the solar panel to the charging socket of your transmitter.
3.
Try to slant the panel 90 degrees to the sun to maximize the panel's solar
exposure. Make sure the panel is out of shade.
Note: Sun hitting the panel at a low angle will greatly lower charge efficiency.
