Using the Image Calibration
Page
The Calibration Page optioin, available through the Special Pages
submenu in the Administration menu, allows you to print an image
calibration page to use for evaluating print job quality. The main bene-
fit of the calibration page is its usefulness in isolating problems that
affect print quality.
To evaluate print quality, print a calibration page from your printer by
using the Special Pages submenu. See the Special Pages Submenu
section of chapter 2, Printer Configuration. Then review the calibra-
tion page using the following description:
Diagonal Line
The diagonal line across the top of the calibration page shows the
quality of the diagonal line. At 600 dpi the line is less jagged than
at 300 dpi.
Halftone Bar (Black to White)
The vertical bar on the left side of the calibration page shows the
appearance of the current gamma correction value halftones. The
halftone bar illustrates the gray levels from black to white.
Halftone Bar (White to Black)

the appearance of the current gamma correction value halftones.
The halftone bar illustrates the gray levels from white to black.
