8. CONNECTING THE REFRIGERANT PIPING
8.1 Connecting and disconnecting the refrigerant piping for the SC 39xx
models

ATTENTION
The connection of refrigerant piping for an air conditioner has to be done according the
applicable national statutory provisions. Connecting the refrigerant piping may only be
performed by an authorised technician.

ATTENTION
The piping package connected to the indoor unit is heavy. Never leave it hanging to the indoor
unit unsupported. Support the whole piping package during the mounting of the indoor unit. As
a result of the weight of the piping package, the piping of the indoor unit and the piping of the
outdoor unit can bend easily or even break. Damaged piping of the indoor unit and the piping
package which are the result of unprofessional installation are not covered by the warranty.

ATTENTION
For your safety, always wear goggles and gloves when connecting piping. The piping is connected
to the indoor unit in the factory. Refer to the “quick installation guide” for details about
connecting the piping and the power cable to the outside unit.
