FX-182 OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS

1. Power/Mode switch

• After powering on, press this button to start up. Long-press this 

key to shut down.

• Under startup state, short-press this key to change mode 

(RADIO/AUX/BT).

2. Mute/Clock (MUTE/CLK)

• In MP3/radio mode, short-press this key to mute audio, 

short-press this key again to unmute.

• In startup state, press "CLK" button for time display. In the time 

display state, long-press "CLK" key to adjust/set the clock time

into 24-hour state.

• Short-press "CLK" key to switch the hours/minutes. After setting 

the time, long-press "CLK" key to exit the setting, or it will stop 

operation after 5 seconds automatically confirming the time and 

exit clock setting.

3. Forward search for radio stations/forward select key/Answer 

calling key (icon here)

• In the radio mode, short-press this key for automatically search 

stations forward, long-press this key to step-search forward 

radio stations, long-press any numbered 1-6 keys for saving 

preset radio after stopping.

• In MP3 mode, short-press this key to advance to next song. 

Long-press this key for fast-forward music playback.

• When there is an incoming call, press this button to answer the 

call after connecting the HF of the mobile phone. In HF mode, 

long press this button to redial the last phone number pulled out.

4. Backward search radio/backward select key/hang up key 

(icon here)

• In the radio mode, short-press this key to automatically search 

stations backwards, long-press this key for step-search 

backward radio stations, long-press any numbered 1-6 keys for 

saving preset radio after stopping. 

• In MP3 mode, short-press this key to go back to the previous 

song. Long-press this key reverse music playback.

• After the phone is connected to BT, you can hang up a call when 

there is an incoming call or press this key during the call

5. Clock

Digital clock display. See #2 above for instructions.

6. Radio Band (BAND)

• In the radio mode, short-press to select radio band 

(FM1-FM2-FM3-AM1-AM2), long press this key for automatic radio 

station searching which will be stored in the preset buttons 1-6. After 

automatic search radio station searching is done, the first preset 

button will automatically play the stored radio program. Each band 

can store 6 stations for a total of 30 stations.

• In the MP3 playing state, long press this key to enter the digital 

song selection function, adjust the volume knob to select a 

track, short press the volume knob to confirm the track and play.

7. Volume/Menu key

• In radio/MP3 mode, rotate this knob to adjust the volume up or down.

• In radio/MP3 mode, short-press the volume knob to enter various 

options: BAS(BASS), TRE(treble), BAL(left/right balance), FAD 

(front/back balance, d ON/OF (loud on/off), EQ OFF 

(POP/ROCK/JAZZ/CLASS). Adjust the volume knob to select options.  

8. Infrared remote control receiving window (IR)

• Used to receive instructions from the remote control.

9. Microphone (MIC)

• Will be enabled for hands-free voice calls over Bluetooth.

10. Reset (RES)

• When the host system seems to not be operating properly, you can press 

this button inside with a hard object to reset the system to normal start state. 

11. LCD Display 

• Displays radio station frequency, current playback and other 

information.

12. USB port for music (USB)

• Insert a USB drive with stored MP3 song files on it and it will 

start to playback music automatically.

13. USB charging port (icon here)

• Connect your phone USB cable to this port to recharge your phone. 

14. AUX-IN port (AUX)

• Connect an external audio source to this input.

15. Number 6/press button to jump 10 tracks forward (6/+10)

• In the radio mode, short-press this key to play radio station 

preset "6", long press this key for 2 seconds to save the radio 

station as a preset.

• When playing MP3 songs, short-press this key to select forward 

+10 songs, long press this key to select which folders to play.

16. Number 5/press button to jump 10 tracks backward (5/-10)

• In the radio mode, short-press this key to play radio station preset "5", 

long-press this key for 2 seconds to save the radio station as a preset.

17. Number 4/Random play (4/RDM)

• In the radio mode, short-press this key to play radio station 

preset "4", long-press this key for 2 seconds to save the radio 

station as a preset.

• When playing MP3 songs, press this key to play songs 

randomly, and press it again to play them sequentially.

18. Number 3/Repeat play (3/RPT) 

• When playing MP3 songs, short-press this key to repeat the 

single song, press this key again to exit repeat function.

• In the radio state, short-press this key to play radio station 

preset "3", long-press this key for 2 seconds to the radio station 

as a preset.

19. Number 2/Browse key (2/INT)

• In the radio state, short-press this key to play the radio station 

preset "2", long press this key for 2 seconds to save the radio 

station as a preset.

• When playing MP3 songs, short-press this key to browse MP3 

songs. Each song will play for 10 seconds then advance to the 

next song, etc. Press this key again to resume normal playback.

20. Number 1/Pause (1/=)

• In the radio mode, short-press this key to play radio station 

preset "1", long press this key for 2 seconds to save the radio 

station as a preset.

• In MP3 playing state, short press this key to pause playing, long 

press this key again to cancel the pause function.

21. TF port (TF)

• Insert a TF card with stored MP3 song files on it and it will start 

to playback music automatically.
