Warning instruction for safe use
To ensure that the meter is used safely, be sure to
observe the instruction when using the instrument.
∎
Never touch on the case that exceed 1kVA.
∎
Pay special attention when measuring the voltage of
AC 30Vrms(42.2V peak) or DC 60V or avoid injury.
∎
Never apply an input signals exceeding the maximum
rating input voltage.
∎
Never use meter for measuring the line connected
with equipment(i.e. Motor) that generates induced
or sure voltage since it may exceed the maximum
allowable voltage.
∎
Never use meter if the meter or test leads are
damage or broken.
∎
Never use un-cased meter.
∎
When connecting and disconnecting the test leads,
first connect the ground lead (black). When
disconnecting them, the ground lead must be
disconnected last.
∎
Always keep your fingers behind the finger guards
on the probe when making measurements.
∎
Be sure to disconnect the test pins from the
circuit when changing the function.
∎
Before starting measurement, make sure that the
function and range are properly set in accordance
with the measurement.
∎
Never use meter with wet hands or in a damp
environment.
∎
Never open tester case except when replacing
batteries. Do not attempt any alteration of original
specifications.
∎
To ensure safety and maintain accuracy, calibrate
and check the tester at once a year.

Description of panel
① Function Switch.
This rotary switch selects the measurement
function when aligned with function symbols on
the panel.
② Data Hold Button : This button is used to hold
data during a measurement. When this switch is
pressed, the measuring data is held and D.H
appears. In the display, the display remains
unchanged if the input signal changes. Press this
button once again releases the hold.
③ Liquid Crystal Display.
④ V, Input Terminal.
Input terminal for voltage and measurement.
⑤ COM Input Terminal.
This is the COMMON input terminal for voltage
& measurement.
⑥ Wrist Strap
⑦ Zezo-Adj. Button.
This button is used the DC current range only.
Once this is pressed, the reading value shall be
set to zero and be used as a zero reference
value for other subsequent measurement.

Measuring Method
∎
AC/DC Current Measurement(Auto ranging)
Set the function switch to "AC/DC A" range.
Clamp only one wire in the circuit to be measured.
AC/DC Current measurement is limited to the circuit
under 600V AC/DC.
① When measuring DC current, Zero adj. should be made.
② Two or three power lines at once, not be measured
by the clamp.
③ The measured value will be displayed on the display.
∎
MEASUREMENT OF DC VOLTAGE(DCV)
(AUTO-RANGING)
① Set the function switch to "DCV"
② The "DC" mark will be displayed on the left side
in the display.
③ Connect the test leads to the circuit to be measured,
the range will change automatically to the level that
will display the input voltage with the best resolution.
④ The value indicated in the display window is the
measured value of voltage with proper decimal
point and annunciator indication.
∎
MEASUREMENT OF AC VOLTAGE(ACV)
(AUTO-RANGING)
① Set the function switch to "ACV"
② The "AC" mark will be displayed on the left side
in the display.
③ Connect the test leads to the circuit to be
measured, the range will change automatically to
the level that will display the input voltage with
the best resolution.
④ The value indicated in the display window is the
measured value of voltage with proper decimal
point and annunciator indication.
∎
MEASUREMENT OF CONTINUITY CHECK( )
① Set the Function switch to " ".
② The " " mark is indicated on the right side in the
display. This is the continuity check mode in
continuity mode a buzzer sounds when the
resistance of the circuit to be measured is less
than approx. 50 Ohms.
▶
Replacement of Battery
In order to prevent electrical accidents, when
you replace the battery, the function switches
off and the test leads should be separated from
the measuring circuit.
① When the batteries becomes exhausted or drops
below the operating voltage the "
" mark is
displayed.
② Turn the function switch "OFF" and remove the
test leads from all test circuit, prior to installing
fresh batteries.
③ Remove the battery cover at back side. Insert a
tip of pincette or pen in the hole and push
downward.
④ Replace the two batteries(AAA size. UM-4) with
new ones as quickly as possible. Then inserting
the batteries. observing correct polarity.
