INTRODUCTION
RPM is a universal tachometer & temperature indicator which is completely controlled by microprocessors which count
rpm, memorising maximum revs and maximum temperature.
IMPORTANT: This product is water resistant but not waterproof, do not wash the product under water jet
pressure, the product could be irreparably damaged.
INSTALLATION
Position the unit so that it can be seen clearly.
Once the ideal position has been found for installation the unit can be fixed using the special adhesive provided.
Installation of black RPM cable: Since the engine revs are registered inductively,
do not under any circumstances
connect the black cable directly to the electrics of the motorbike.
(RPM) Black cable instllation: position and fix the cable on the sparkplug cable whilst in the case of “cigar coil” directly
into the plug, wrap and fix the black wire to both the supply cables of one of the coils (we recommend the lateral ones)
wrapped at least 5 or 6 times.
Be sure that the cables are not twisted together with the other coiled cables, this would falsify the engine rev count, be
sure that the cable is not too near other cables and fix it along the length of the frame.
(TEMP.) Temperature sensor installation: screw the temperature sensor M6 on the point where you want to know the
temperature, optional connector are available, diameter: 10mm (Cod. SS201/10), 17mm (Cod. SS201/17) e 25mm (Cod.
SS201/25).
BATTERY REPLACEMENT: unscrew the two screws at the bottom of the Multy, remove the cover and remove the
battery, insert the new battery paying attention to the polarity, close the cover and screw closed.
The RPM use 1 CR2032 battery, this battery will work for about 3 years.
USAGE
The switching on of the device will be in automatically mode at the registered of the engine revs or pushing the
“ON/MAX” key. The Multy has automatic switch off 30 seconds after it has received the last impulse.
In normal mode it will show the temperature with 1°C degree resolution on the right side of the display and the number
of revs of the vehicle for 100 revs / per minute in the left side of the display, otherwise it will visualize the engine
working hours counter system (6 minutes resolution), according to the setting up that you will select with the right key
“SET”:
PULSE 1 - Engine revs visualization, for engines with 1 spark for every rev.
PULSE 2 - Engine revs visualization, for engines with 2 sparks for every rev.
PULSE 1/2 - Engine revs visualization, for engines with 1 spark for every2 revs.
HOURS – To see how long the engine has been running.
View Engine counter: Multy will show the number of hours and the tenths of an hour with regard to the engine to which
it is connected, for example if the Multy shows 12,8 it means that the engine has been functioning for 12 hours, while
the minutes are 48 (8X6 minutes). ATTENTION: on hour meter mode display will not show the temperature!
To reset engine counter: whilst engine times are displayed push the “ON/MAX” key, display will beging to flash more
quikly until the maximum engine revs will be reset.
View “maximum revs” & “maximum temperature”: push “ON/MAX” key once, the display will begin to flash and show
the max values.
To reset “maximum revs” & “maximum temperature”: whilst maximum values are displayed (flashing display) push the
“ON/MAX” key, display will beging to flash more quikly until the maximum engine revs will be reset.
