Before calling for service or assistance make the following
simple checks:

Snowy picture Distorted sound
- Check antenna direction, location and/or antenna
connection.
Multiple image Normal sound
- Check antenna direction, location and/or antenna
connection.
Interference on
screen
Distorted sound
- Interference from electrical appliances, cars, motorcycles,
fluorescent lights.
Normal picture Distorted or no sound
- Adjust the broadcast sound system.
- Check volume level.
- Check mute function.
No picture No sound
- Protection mode engaged. Disconnect AC power cord, then
wait 1 minute before plugging the cord back in.
- Check contrast, brightness and volume settings.
- Standby mode engaged.
- Child lock.
No colour Normal sound
- Check colour level.
- Check colour system.
No picture
Normal or low level
sound
- Adjust the channel’s tuning.
Coloured stains Normal sound
- Check for magnetic interference.
- Switch the TV off for 30 minutes.
Remote control malfunction
- Replace batteries.
- Clean indicator window.
